Winnipeg, MB - One of the most fully-integrated hockey facilities in western Canada, located in southwest Winnipeg, is inviting you to a special event this weekend.

The grand opening of the RINK Training Centre is taking place on Saturday, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The RINK Training Centre is located at 57 South Landing Drive just off McGillivray Boulevard.

The event will feature interactive activities for fans including facility tours, TRUE and Vaughn demo stations, a RINK Testify Performance station and autograph sessions with RINK pros Nolan Patrick of the Philadelphia Flyers and Madison Bowey of the Detroit Red Wings as well as Winnipeg ICE players. In addition, a FREE pancake breakfast and free Tim Hortons will be available for fans from 9-11 a.m.

It’s also the grand opening of The ICE Shop (located by the main doors of the RINK Training Centre)! The ICE Shop is the place where you can get exclusive Winnipeg ICE and RINK clothing including hoodies, shirts, sweat pants, hats and toques. All apparel within the ICE Shop is 25% off from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.!

The Winnipeg ICE 2019 Development Camp presented by Canad Inns coincides with the event and fans will have the opportunity to watch the ICE prospects skate from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to enter to win a RINK program of their choice and a Winnipeg ICE jersey.

The state-of-the-art RINK Training Centre, located at 57 South Landing Drive just off McGillivray Boulevard, opened at the beginning of April 2019. The 95,000 square foot facility is the home of hockey development with a NHL-sized ice surface, training sheet and goalie sheet. It also features a 7,000 square foot gym with a 200-meter indoor running track.


The Winnipeg ICE 2019 Development Camp runs from Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2 at the RINK Training Centre. It will feature a number of the top prospects in the organization including Carson Lambos (second overall, 2018), Conor Geekie (second overall, 2019) and Owen Murray (2018-2019 MJHL Rookie of the Year).
